Meet Our Founder
Overseer Manoj Kr. Narjinary is a visionary leader with a strong commitment to serving the people of God. He has been a faithful servant of the Lord since dedicating his life to ministry after accepting the call in 2000. In 2024, he was ordained as a Pastor of Compassionate Ministry International and was soon elevated to the esteemed office of Overseer for the state of Meghalaya.
As the founder and pastor of CMI in Shillong, he leads the ministry with a compassionate heart, guiding its mission to bring hope and transformation to the most vulnerable. His leadership is central to the countless lives that have been saved, delivered, and miraculously healed through the work of the ministry.
A Ministry Born from a Calling
Compassionate Ministry International (CMI) was not born from a human plan, but from a divine calling. In February 2020, a prophecy was spoken over Ps. Manoj that he would soon need to make a great sacrifice. Shortly after, during a 21-day nationwide lockdown, Ps. Manoj and fellow believers entered a period of fasting and prayer. It was then that God spoke clearly, placing a heavy burden on his heart for the homeless and those trapped in addiction on the streets of Shillong.
The calling was clear: to feed them, share the Word of God, and pray for their deliverance. With faith as their only resource, the work began humbly with just 10 kgs of rice, dal, and potatoes, distributing rations to those in desperate need. From that small beginning, God has been faithful. He has miraculously provided day after day, allowing us to expand the mission to feed 150-200 people daily and provide essential supplies. Our journey is a testament to God's faithfulness and His power to use the humble to display His glory. CMI was formally established and incorporated in 2020 to continue this vital work.
Our Core Ministries
Street Ministry
We provide daily meals and essential supplies to 150-200 homeless individuals on the streets of Shillong, sharing the love and hope of the Gospel with every person we serve.
Recovery & Healing
Our ministry specifically focuses on reaching out to those suffering from drug abuse, alcohol addiction, and emotional pain, offering prayer, support, and a path to healing and deliverance.
Compassionate City Church
Located in Shillong, our Bible-based church is a place where believers can grow together in the Lord. We recognize the power of the Holy Spirit and are committed to praying for God's will.
Location: Inside Garo Union Secondary School, Bishop Cotton Road, near Shillong Municipal Office.

Provisional 80G Approval
Compassionate Ministry International is provisionally approved by the Income Tax Department of India under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, from Assessment Year 2026-27 to 2028-29. This allows us to offer tax exemptions to our donors for their generous contributions.
